Next 9-10-11th of April 2010 are the dates for our annual modelling show, the AMT in Torrent (Valencia, Spain). We're working hard to get everything ready for the Show and the AMT men and machines are running full throttle towards that terrific weekend. As usual there will be vendor shops around the Auditorium, a sympathic bar with fresh beer and drinks available for the ever-thirsty modellers, "ChurChill Out" at saturday night, lots of old and new friends, and of course fine models to enjoy looking at. Satellites and weathermen have promised sunny weather for the whole weekend, so northern troops can enjoy still more the visit (don't forget your after-sun).

CONTEST/EXPOSITION OPENING HOURS
Saturday 10: from 17 to 20’30 h.
Sunday 11: from 10 to 17 h.
FAIR OPENING HOURS
Friday 9: from 17 to 21 h.
Saturday 10: from 10 to 20’30 h.
Sunday 11: from 10 to 17 h.
IMPORTANT
Models on the show must to be fixed on a base, with or without groundwork.

Class A1 - Models from commercial kits 1/48 scale and up.
Class A2 - Transformed models based on commercial kits.
Class A3 - Scratch-built models.
Class A4 - Models from commercial kits under 1/48 scale.
Civil Vehicles
Class C1 - Cars in or under 1/32 scale (1/43, 1/48, 1/32...)
Class C2 - Cars over 1/32 scale (1/24, 1/12...)
Class C3 - Medium and heavy vehicles: trucks, farm and public works vehicles…
Class C4 - Motorbikes, bicycles…
Vignettes & Dioramas
Class E1 - Vignettes. Scene of reduced size with five figures maximum and a vehicle.
Class E2 - Dioramas. Scene with maximum dimensions of 1m2.

Class F1 - Master Painting.
Class F2 - Master Modelling.
Class F3 - Standard Open.
Class F4 - Novels.
Class F5 - Non-historic figures.
Military Vehicles
Class M1 - Models from commercial kits 1/35th scale and up.
Class M2 - Transformed models based on commercial kits.
Class M3 - Scratch-built models.
Class M4 - Commercial models under 1/35th scale.
We are running also a simpathic mini-contest, with the WWII Jeep as a common theme.

Science-Fiction & Fantasy
Class X1 - Machines.
Class X2 - Figures less than 120mm.
Class X3 - Figures more than 120mm.
Class X4 - Scratch-built figures.
Class X5 - Vignettes and dioramas.
Junior Contest
Up to 16 years old. One commonn category with three prizes and accesits.
Ships / Mare Nostrum Contest
Besides AMT contest, the plastic ship modelling association “Mare Nostrum” will held its seventh contest, with three prizes.
ANEXES
• Models at the contest can’t display the author’s name or any other direct or indirect identification.
• Models can be entered the Friday 9 from 17 to 21 h. and Saturday 10 from 10 to 13 h.
• Models on exposition are subjected to the same themes and dimensions than on contest.
• Withdrawal of models after the closing on Sunday 19, checking ownership with the ticket given at the delivery.
• The organization have the faculty to reclassify the pieces in a different class than the one entered in.
• The organization is not responsible for possible damage on the models.
• The organization reserves for itself the rights to photograph or record in whatever other media, the models at the show.
• The participants have to accept and respect the rules.

HOW TO GET THERE?
Torrent is about ten minutes by motorway from Valencia. From Valencia city you can travel on lines 1 or 5 of the Metro to Torrent-Avinguda station, the Auditori it’s 10-15 minutes walking. And anyway, taxi prices from Valencia are quite affordable.

There's also an interesting and ever-increasing military museum worth a visit at the Paseo de Alameda in Valencia city (entry by the street General Gil Dolz, 8). It's open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 till 14:00 h. and 16:00 till 20:00 h, and on Sundays & festivities from 10:00 till 14:00 h.
